Terms of service
Effective 11 Jun 2026
WildSpotter — [email protected]. These terms govern your use of the WildSpotter mobile app (iOS and Android) and the website wildspotter.app. By downloading or using the app you accept these terms.
1. What WildSpotter is
WildSpotter is an exploration tool that processes geographic, topographic, legal and satellite data to suggest possible overnight parking areas for vans and campers in Spain. The information is indicative and informational in nature: it is not legal advice and is not a guarantee that any place is legal, safe or suitable for overnight stays. The legal verdicts the app shows are based on official sources but may be outdated or incomplete. You, the user, are solely responsible for checking and complying with the local, regional and national rules that apply at each location before you stop or stay overnight.
2. Acceptable use
You must be of legal age and use the app in accordance with the law. You may not scrape, resell or mass-redistribute spot data, nor use the app to harm the natural environment, trespass on private property, or circumvent access restrictions. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that breach these terms.
3. Subscriptions
WildSpotter offers a free tier and auto-renewable paid Premium subscriptions:
- Explorer monthly — €4.99 per month.
- Explorer yearly — €34.99 per year.
- Pioneer yearly — €24.99 per year (price locked for early subscribers).
Payment is charged to your App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android) account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal fee is charged within the 24 hours before the new period begins.
4. Cancellation and renewal
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your store account settings (App Store or Google Play), not from within the app. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium access until the end of the period you already paid for. WildSpotter cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
5. Refunds
Payments are processed by Apple and Google, not by WildSpotter. Refund requests are handled under the App Store or Google Play policies. To request a refund you must contact the store where you made the purchase directly. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through the stores.
6. Accounts and deletion
Premium access may require signing in with Apple or Google. You can delete your account and associated data from the app settings or by writing to [email protected]. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription: you must cancel it separately in the App Store or Google Play.
7. Intellectual property and data
The WildSpotter software, design and brand are owned by WildSpotter. The app combines data from official and open sources, whose attributions we respect:
- MITECO — Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition (protected areas, coastline).
- IGN — National Geographic Institute of Spain (orthophotos, mapping).
- Catastro — Spanish Land Registry (land classification).
- Copernicus — Copernicus Land Monitoring Service, European Union (CORINE Land Cover).
- OpenStreetMap — © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the ODbL licence.
8. Limitation of liability
WildSpotter is provided "as is", without warranties of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for fines, penalties, damages, accidents, denied access, or any harm arising from staying overnight or stopping at a place suggested by the app. The final decision on where to stop is yours and at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the preceding twelve months.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or in the law. We will update the date above and, where changes are material, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any questions write to [email protected].
