Delete your account

You can delete your WildSpotter account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it.
From the app (recommended)
- Open WildSpotter and sign in to your account.
- Go to Settings.
- In the account section, tap Delete account.
- Confirm in the dialog. Deletion is immediate.
By email
If you can't access the app, email [email protected] from the address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete account". We'll verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile (email and display name) and all your sessions.
- Your saved spots and folders, including folders you created to share.
- Your subscription entitlements and coupon-redemption records.
- Your membership in shared folders and the spots you contributed to them.
- Your devices' push notification tokens.
What is retained and for how long
Personal data is deleted immediately on confirmation. Residual backups are purged within 30 days. We may keep aggregated, anonymized analytics that no longer identify you. Receipts and the purchase history of your subscription are kept by Apple and Google under their own policies; we cannot delete those.
Cancelling your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel an active paid subscription. Cancel it separately in your App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) account settings.
